Getting to Costa Rica
Most major airlines fly to San Jose, Costa Rica:

Each one has its hub. I like using Delta Airlines out of LAX. From LAX they have a Non-stop. |
Online Travel Sites
Once again the internet makes things very easy. I use Expedia.com a lot, also try Orbitz.com or go direct to airline website. When you go to put in destination, put in SJO (airport code for San Jose, Costa Rica), you should find round trip airfares running from a low of $400.00 to a high of $800.00.
Delta has a non-stop from LAX, Ca. 5hr 30min Flight. Most airlines also have 2 flights a day. One leaving in the morning - arriving 5-6pm into San Jose. Which is OK, but I like to make the most of my travel - leave at 11pm ish & arrive the next morning around 7:30am. Costa Rica has a 1 - 2 hour time difference between California with No daylight savings.
If you are coming straight out to our place, you will have a 2 hour drive through the rain forest to Sandpiper Hotel, which is much better to do in daylight than night hours. Watch out for monkeys and when you get to a very long bridge that you cross, stop at other end - park and walk back to center of bridge with camera to check out the 10-15ft long Crocodiles!
See you soon!
